Footnotes: Released in 2020 by Sasanokawa Shuzo, the Yamazakura Rare Old Ultimate Edition was created from malt whiskies matured for more than 35 years. Bottled at natural cask strength of 57% ABV, without chill filtration or added colouring, the release was limited to just 55 bottles worldwide. Each bottle was individually hand-blown by Japanese glass artist Hideaki Kakurai, giving every example a unique presentation. Combining exceptional age, cask strength and an extraordinarily small release, the Ultimate Edition represents one of the rarest aged expressions released under the Yamazakura name.
