Marcel Dyf (1899–1985) was a French painter celebrated for his Impressionist landscapes, coastal scenes, still lifes, and portraits. Born in Paris, he initially studied engineering before turning to painting and developing an enduring admiration for artists including Pierre-Auguste Renoir. Dyf exhibited in Paris and throughout France, and his work attracted official recognition through acquisitions and commissions from the French government. His luminous landscapes of Provence, Brittany, and the French countryside established him as a notable 20th-century continuation of the French Impressionist tradition.
