A recent single family owned discovery, offered here are two hall of fame inductees from the 1937 O-Pee-Chee baseball set Charlie Gehringer and Rogers Hornsby. The 1937 O-Pee-Chee baseball set is an extremely scarce Canadian issue featuring some of baseball's most recognizable names. Many of the cards within the 40 card set reside with PSA populations of less than 20. The set was designed with player punch outs with perforated edges around the player body allowing the card owner to stand the card up once punched. Unpunched examples are rare and seldom surface.
Size
3" x 2.5".
Condition
The Rogers Hornsby is crease free and unpunched. Minor surface stains. Excellent edges, corners and centering. Reverse side is excellent. The Charlie Gehringer is overall good with sharp edges, corners and registration. A minor wrinkle extends downward from the top edge 0.25" on the reverse of the card. The bottom left quarter of the reverse side exhibits some cardboard fray that has affected the French lettering.
