A recent find from a single owner collection, this hockey scrapbook was accumulated by a passionate hockey fan in the early 1950s and has remained in their possession until being offered here. The book includes 91/105 cards from the 1951 Parkhurst hockey set, including key hall of fame rookies Gordie Howe and Maurice Richard. It is important to note that zero attempt has been made to remove cards from the scrapbook. The set is missing card #38 Dewbury, #39 Martin, #43 Lee, #48 Bentley, #49 Mosienko, #52 The Winning Goal, #53 Stewart, #57 Skov, #60 Stasiuk, #61 Sawchuk, #75 Broda, #77 Juzda, #80 Flaman, and #84 Smith. The two most significant missing cards being Terry Sawchuk and The Winning Goal. The scrapbook is a thin paper stock and cards have been organized by team beginning with Montreal and ending with Chicago. The scrapbook begins with five pages of Maple Leaf Gardens and other calendar cutouts before getting to the cards within the 1951 set. Interestingly, this scrapbook was compiled by former Toronto Maple Leafs and Detroit Red Wings prospect Keith Davidson so, accompanying the scrapbook, are three photocopied letters inviting Davidson to the Toronto Marlboros, Hamilton Tigers, and Guelph Biltmores pre-season hockey camps to add to the story of this incredible book.

Condition
The cards all reside in a very thin paper stock scrapbook with no attempt to remove the cards being made. Many cards within the book reside in excellent condition albeit glued into the book. Beginning with Richard, a faint horizontal crease extends from the left to right edge across the facing surface and minor shimmer from glue is visible at the left edge despite excellent eye appeal. #66 Howe is good with excellent eye appeal and no creases to his central field but very minor wrinkles visible to three of four corners. Harvey, Geoffrion, Reay, McNeil, Lach, Bouchard, Olmstead, Lowe, MaCkay and Curry exhibit creases while the remaining Canadiens are excellent. For Boston, Quakenbush, Henry, Dumart, Schmidt, Lund, Krysanowski, Fisher, Kyle, Henderson, Brown, Ferguson and Barry all exhibit mostly minor creases with the remaining cards showing little notable flaw. For Toronto, Rollins, Thompson, Kennedy, Sloan, Mortson, Meeker, Mackell, and Klukay all exhibit minor creases with the remaining showing little notable flaw. For New York, Stanley, Evans, Raleigh, Slowinski, Buller, Sinclair, Mickoski, Eddolis, and Ronty all show mostly minor screases with the remaining lacking major flaw. For Detroit, Kelly, Abel, Woit, Goldham, and Stasiuk all show mostly minor creases with the remaining lacking major flaw (imperfect corners on Howe). For Chicago, Lumley, Gadsby, Peters, Raglan, McFadden, and Fogolin all exhibit minor wrinkles with the remaining lacking notable flaw.
