Offered here in it's complete form, this 1952-53 Parkhurst hockey set is from a single family owned collection. The 1952-1953 Parkhurst hockey set represents the second release from the company in a slightly larger size than their previous 1951 set. The group offered here includes 105/105 cards in the set, including Tim Horton's rookie card and Gordie Howe's second year example. Four of the key examples have recently been graded by KSA.

Four cards have recently been graded by KSA with Tim Horton's rookie, receiving a grade of 5.5 EX+, Gordie Howe's second year card a grade of 6 EX-MT, Terry Sawchuk a grade of 4 VG-EX and George Armstrong's rookie a grade of 4 VG-EX. The set very consistently averages within the four graded cards and exhibits crease free surfaces with good bu imperfect centering and corners. Notably, Maurice Richard's #1 card is lower grade despite being crease free. 16/105 cards exhibit an oil like stain to their reverse sides including Ted Kennedy, Harry Lumley, Maurice Richard and Dickie Moore. 7/105 cards exhibit notable creases (Card #4, 6, 12, 49, 60, 61, 100). Upon close inspection, all cards show a faint blue to their reverse side bottom left corner that appears to be a severely faded writing in pen or pencil crayon.
