A total of four full tickets from Game 8 of the 1972 Summit series have ever been handled by PSA, making this a true rarity from one of the most important moments in the history of hockey. So few tickets exist in their full form because games played in Russia saw tickets ripped in half upon entry with this ticket somehow avoiding that fate. Game 8 of the 1972 Summit Series is remembered for its dramatic conclusion and Paul Henderson’s legendary heroics. On September 28, 1972, in Moscow, with the series tied and just 34 seconds remaining in the final game, Henderson scored the series-winning goal, giving Canada a 6–5 victory over the Soviet Union. His goal not only secured Canada’s overall series triumph but also became an enduring symbol of Canadian hockey, celebrated for its clutch timing and the sheer intensity of the moment.
