A colour-saturated painting by contemporary artist Lynn Greenburg, known for her whimsical, expressionist compositions filled with human and animal forms in motion. This work makes a colourful statement- a flying figure, a playful cat, and stylized flowers float across a bright patchwork of red, turquoise, and golden hues. Greenburg's distinctive use of bold color blocks and outlined figures recalls the spontaneity of mid-century modernist folk art and the narrative charm of artists like Paul Klee and Corneille.
Painted during the late 20th to early 21st century, Greenburg's work bridges modern abstraction and storytelling. Her compositions often celebrate joy, connection, and the simple beauty of everyday life through an almost childlike sense of wonder.
This piece exemplifies her mature style: confident linework, organic symbolism, and a rhythmic sense of design that feels both spontaneous and deeply intentional.
