Description: Offered for sale a striking French Empire Revival mahogany veneered and brass-mounted three-piece drawing room suite, comprising a large three-seater sofa, a two-seater sofa and matching armchair.

The suite features richly figured mahogany veneered frames with sweeping curved backs and boldly scrolled arms.
The arms are embellished with Greek-key decoration, ebonised circular panels and brass floral paterae, while the curved crest rails are applied with further Neoclassical brass rosettes and foliate mounts.

The seat rails incorporate contrasting ebonised reeded panels centred by brass anthemion ornaments.
The boldly splayed supports terminate in distinctive brass paw feet, with additional brass rosette and palmette decoration.

The suite is upholstered throughout in pale sage-green textured vinyl with loose cushioned seats and studded edging.

A particularly theatrical and decorative suite with strong French Empire and Neoclassical influences, offering considerable presence as a complete three-piece drawing room suite.

Offered in good vintage condition, with some age-related marks and wear to the upholstery, together with various marks, scratches and repaired sections to the mahogany veneer.
Some wear is also present to the brass decoration.
