FOLLOWER OF JOHN FREDERICK HERRING
HORSES IN A STABLE
Oil on canvas
52 x 43cm (20¼ x 16¾in.)

Provenance:
Sale, Christie's, 3 May 2009, lot 60

Condition Report:
Unexamined out of glazed frame. The canvas does not appear to have been lined and seems to be providing good support. Fine craquelure is present but the surface appears to be stable overall. The manner of framing prevents clear examination under UV light, however some scattered areas of retouching and infilling are evident. The image presents a discoloured varnish and surface dirt.
