Condition Report:
The work is framed and mounted (red velvet covered mounting) and was not examined out of its frame. The uneven varnish has discoloured overall, notably over the lighter pigments, and there is surface dirt throughout. There is an areas of light pitting to the upper right quadrant near the right-hand side edge, and there are fine paint shrinkage cracks throughout the sea and thickly applied foliage to the centre of the lower edge. Some good impasto remains in the waves, foliage and furthest sail.
