An interesting Supreme Court association piece connecting two influential Chief Justices separated by more than 150 years. John Marshall served as Chief Justice from 1801 to 1835, establishing the Supreme Court's authority to review the constitutionality of laws through the landmark decision Marbury v. Madison (1803). Rehnquist served as Chief Justice from 1986 to 2005, overseeing a period of significant constitutional decisions concerning federalism, states' rights, and the balance of governmental powers.
Fine condition.
