Details:
Louis D. Brandeis autographed handwritten letter (ALS), written on a single sheet and signed with his initials, "L.D.B.," at the conclusion. A pencil notation in an unidentified hand dates the correspondence December 1, 1917, during Brandeis's early tenure on the United States Supreme Court.
The informal letter concerns arrangements for a personal meeting. Written in his characteristic cursive handwriting, the correspondence offers an interesting glimpse into the personal affairs and daily schedule of one of America's most influential Supreme Court justices.
The lower right corner bears a James Spence Authentication (JSA) authentication sticker.
The letter measures approximately 5.5 x 6.75 inches. Very good condition with light age toning, minor handling wear, and noticeable brushing and smudging of ink across portions of the manuscript.
