He writes, in part: "I know not when I shall get away from this place—but I am certain it will not be in less than three weeks."
Pinkney also discusses his lodging arrangements, explaining that a misunderstanding regarding accommodations has left him staying at Gilbert Jones's residence. He concludes with an affectionate expression of devotion, signing "W. Pinkney."
The reverse bears the original handwritten address to "Mrs. Maria Pinkney, Annapolis."
The letter measures approximately 7.75 x 12 inches. Very good condition with original mailing folds, age toning, scattered spotting, and minor handling wear.
