John F. Kennedy (1917–1963) was the 35th President of the United States, serving from 1961 until his assassination in Dallas, Texas, on November 22, 1963. His presidency was defined by major Cold War events, including the Berlin Crisis, Cuban Missile Crisis, and the growing American commitment to the space race.

Konrad Adenauer (1876–1967) served as the first Chancellor of West Germany from 1949 to 1963.
