Reed" at the conclusion. A desirable example of the autograph of the prominent Pennsylvania Founding Father, Revolutionary War statesman, and close associate of George Washington.

He served as secretary and aide-de-camp to General George Washington during the early years of the American Revolution and later held the rank of colonel and adjutant general of the Continental Army. Reed served in the Continental Congress and as President of Pennsylvania's Supreme Executive Council from 1778 to 1781, effectively serving as the Commonwealth's chief executive during a critical period of the Revolution.
