Details:

Dave Powers autographed and inscribed official double-weight 8 x 10-inch photographic portrait of President John F. Kennedy, featuring a distinguished black-and-white image of the president.

Powers has personally inscribed the lower left white border in ink, "To Dean, My best always, Dave Powers."

The lower right border features a printed facsimile inscription and signature of President Kennedy reading "with best wishes, John Kennedy."

An attractive presidential portrait made particularly desirable by the personal inscription of Dave Powers, one of Kennedy's closest friends, longtime political associates, and most trusted White House aides.

The photograph measures approximately 8 x 10 inches and is printed on double-weight photographic paper. Near fine condition with light handling wear and a few slight surface bends.

David Francis Powers (1912–1998) was an American political aide and close personal friend of President John F. Kennedy. Powers first joined Kennedy's political circle during his 1946 congressional campaign and remained a trusted confidant throughout his political career, eventually serving as Special Assistant to the President.

Powers accompanied Kennedy on numerous presidential trips and was traveling in the motorcade in Dallas, Texas, when the president was assassinated on November 22, 1963. Following Kennedy's death, Powers became the first curator of the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum, dedicating much of his later life to preserving the president's legacy.
