An original issue of La Settimana Modenese, Anno II, No. 47, published 21 November 1931, containing an important illustrated feature celebrating Enzo Ferrari's appointment as Ufficiale della Corona d'Italia and announcing the annual Scuderia Ferrari banquet.
The illustrated article records Ferrari's recent state honour, conferred on the recommendation of Senatore E. Acerbo, recognising the founder of Scuderia Ferrari for his contribution to Italian motor sport. It announces the annual end-of-season banquet to be held by the Scuderia at the Ristorante Fratelli Boninsegna, attended by approximately one hundred guests from across Italy. The article is illustrated with period portraits of many of the leading personalities associated with Italian motor racing, including Enzo Ferrari, Tazio Nuvolari, Baconin Borzacchini, Maria Antonietta Avanzo, Eugenio Siena, Francesco Severi, Piero Bucci and Piero Taruffi. Also illustrated is Prospero Gianferrari, Director General and Managing Director of Alfa Romeo, who is shown receiving a presentation copy of Due Anni di Corse, the commemorative volume documenting the Scuderia's first two seasons.
Good condition.
