An important original Ferrari factory engineering drawing depicting the right-hand cylinder head (Testa Cilindri Destra) for the Tipo 021 Formula One engine, produced by Ferrari's Gestione Sportiva Uffici Tecnici during the development of the company's early turbocharged Formula One programme.
Drawn at a full 1:1 scale, the blueprint measures approximately 218 × 116 cm and is executed on original Ferrari watermarked paper. The title block identifies the component as "Testa Cilindri Destra (Viste e Sezioni)", drawing number 021-163494A, for Motore 021, and is dated 15 October 1982. The specification further records the cylinder head material as G.Al-Si9 UNI 3051, produced by isostatic pressure casting (Pressatura Isostatica), illustrating Ferrari's advanced manufacturing methods for its Formula One engine programme.
The blueprint originates from the estate of Renzo Medici, who joined Ferrari in 1947 and spent almost four decades with the company, ultimately becoming Head of Parts Production in Reparto Corse. Preserved directly from his personal archive, it offers a rare insight into the engineering development of Ferrari's first generation of turbocharged Formula One engines.
Good condition, folded as originally supplied.
