An archive documenting the early history of Ferrari 365 GTB/4 chassis 14125. The collection is centred around the original Ferrari factory invoice issued on 5 March 1971, recording the sale of the car by Ferrari S.p.A. to Luigi Chinetti Motors of Greenwich, Connecticut. The invoice lists the car's original specification, including Silver 106.E.1 Salchi coachwork with a Dark Red VM893 interior. Accompanying this is the original Luigi Chinetti Motors sales invoice to the car's first owner, Mr J. A. Baldwin Sr., by which time the specification had been altered, documenting a factory-approved change of colour prior to delivery. Also included is an original Ferrari factory telex confirming Baldwin's order for a competition Daytona, all housed in the original Luigi Chinetti Motors file folder bearing the chassis number 14125, in which the documents have remained preserved.

Together, the archive offers a fascinating insight into Ferrari's production, ordering and delivery process during the Daytona era, illustrating the close working relationship between Maranello and its North American distributor.
