An unusual and highly evocative Ferrari presentation piece produced to commemorate the 1989 Mille Miglia. The display comprises a polished Ferrari engine valve mounted on a tan leather-covered Schedoni plaque, finished with an applied Cavallino Rampante emblem and embossed with the 1000 Miglia logo, the year 1989, and number 252. The reverse bears the impressed "Cuoio Schedoni Modena per Ferrari" maker's mark, confirming manufacture by Schedoni, Ferrari's long-standing supplier of luxury leather goods and presentation accessories. A metal support allows the piece to be displayed upright. Very good condition.
