An original period photograph by noted Italian motorsport photographer Franco Zagari, depicting Gino Munaron at speed in his Ferrari 500 TRC during the 1957 Mille Miglia. The reverse bears the photographer's original Fotocars di Franco Zagari copyright stamp together with a typed identification reading: "XXIV Mille Miglia – Pinnoro – 451 Munaron Gino – Ferrari 2000 – 1° Class. Sport da 1500 a 2000." Car number 451 was driven by Munaron to first in class (Sports 1500–2000 cc) in the final Mille Miglia, one of the Ferrari 500 TRC's finest competition results. The image captures the car negotiating the cobbled streets of Pianoro, just outside Bologna, during the race.
A superb, vintage press photograph documenting one of Ferrari's most significant Mille Miglia class victories, preserved with its original photographer's annotations and copyright markings to the reverse. 18x13 CM, very good condition.
