An exceptionally rare original factory Ferrari gear shifter mechanism for the Ferrari 512 S and 512 M. Manufactured in lightweight alloy and retaining its distinctive original hollow wooden gear knob, the assembly incorporates the factory reverse lock-out lever and iconic gate. Components of this type were fitted to Ferrari's factory-built 512 Sports Prototypes, among the most significant competition cars of the early 1970s, and survive only rarely outside their original chassis.

Preserved in very good original condition with an attractive, untouched patina, it represents a remarkably scarce opportunity to acquire an authentic piece of Ferrari competition engineering.
