Complete set of three original Avvisi di Accertamento di Valore (Notices of Assessment of Value) issued by the Italian Ministry of Finance relating to Carrozzeria Scaglietti. Individually addressed to Sergio, Claudio and Oscar Scaglietti, the documents record the tax authority's reassessment of the company's declared value from 140,139,000 lire to 650,000,000 lire. Each notice includes the accompanying schedules detailing the valuation of the company's buildings, equipment, inventory and business goodwill, together with official registration and notification stamps. Particularly notable is the Ministry's attribution of 100 million lire to the company's goodwill (avviamento), recognising the commercial value of the Scaglietti business itself.
A rare and important surviving archive documenting the official valuation of Ferrari's celebrated coachbuilder during the period of its closest association with Maranello. Complete as the original three-copy set, one issued to each of the principal members of the Scaglietti family.
