A bronze sculpture of the Cavallino Rampante, mounted on a polished red marble plinth and bearing the original engraved presentation plaque, "Oscar Scaglietti – 1993." Retaining its original yellow Ferrari presentation box, decorated with the Prancing Horse emblem.
Presented by Ferrari to Oscar Scaglietti in 1993 in recognition of his contribution to the company, the sculpture represents a personal award rather than a commercial production piece. Oscar Scaglietti was the son of the legendary coachbuilder Sergio Scaglietti, whose Modena workshops produced many of Ferrari's most celebrated bodies, including the 250 Testa Rossa, 250 GT SWB, 250 GTO and numerous competition Ferraris of the 1950s and 1960s.
Unlike the numerous commercial Ferrari sculptures produced for collectors, this example was created as a personal token of appreciation from Ferrari itself to a member of the Scaglietti family, whose name became inseparably linked with the marque. As such, it represents an evocative and highly personal artefact from one of Ferrari's most important coachbuilding dynasties. Excellent condition, 25 CM height.
