A highly engaging group of Ferrari-related correspondence and ephemera addressed to noted Ferrari historian Simon Moore, spanning the late 1960s through the 1980s and reflecting his extensive contacts within the international Ferrari community.
The collection includes typed and signed correspondence from a number of significant sources, notably a 1968 letter on Harrah’s Automobile Collection letterhead concerning early Ferrari chassis information, together with 1972 correspondence from Jacques Swaters of Garage Francorchamps.
Later material relates to Ferrari publications, promotional projects and enthusiast activity, including a signed 1987 letter concerning the “Project F1” Ferrari poster calendar, Ferrari Owners’ Club material, a 1988 membership card, an invitation to Motorfair at Earls Court for Modena for Ferrari, and further printed cards and notes bearing handwritten messages.
Several pieces carry personal inscriptions to Moore, adding an appealing sense of provenance and underlining his recognised position within Ferrari historical circles.
A varied and historically interesting archive, offering a glimpse into the network of collectors, dealers, historians and Ferrari personalities with whom Moore corresponded over two decades.
Presented in generally very good condition, with light age-related wear and handling marks.
