An original Western Union telegram sent by Chinetti Motors, New York, to noted Ferrari dealer Otto Zipper in Beverly Hills, dated 8 September 1962.

The telegram concerns two Ferrari 250 GT Berlinettas by chassis number, 3835 GT and 3637 GT, one specifically noted as right-hand drive, and requests confirmation of the leather trim specification before delivery: "2 × 2 Estes #3835 GT Berlinetta right hand drive #3637 GT. California Newman will advise leather regards. Chinetti Motors."

The document provides an excellent illustration of the day-to-day communication between Luigi Chinetti's East Coast Ferrari operation and Otto Zipper's influential West Coast dealership, documenting the coordination of customer specifications for new Ferrari deliveries during the early 1960s.
