An archive documenting the purchase of land and construction of Scaglietti's new Modena works Comprising a group of original internal Carrozzeria Scaglietti documents recording the acquisition of land and the construction of the company's expanded factory premises in Modena during 1970.

Highlights include a typed memorandum detailing the staged purchase of multiple adjoining parcels of land, together with payment schedules and acquisition costs; a further financial statement summarising outstanding liabilities to the various landowners; an original handwritten accounting ledger recording the individual property transactions and related payments; and the original five-page building contract, dated 6 October 1970, appointing the contractor for the construction of the new industrial building. The contract specifies the dimensions of the workshop, the scope of works, construction methods, materials, services and agreed contract price, providing a detailed blueprint for the expansion of Carrozzeria Scaglietti's facilities.

Created at the moment Scaglietti was increasing production to meet Ferrari's growing demand during one of the company's busiest periods, these contemporary business records offer a rare insight into the practical and financial decisions behind the development of Ferrari's principal coachbuilder.
