A group relating to the Swiss-Italian artist Luigi Pericle, comprising a signed and numbered limited edition print titled Materia in Processo di Differenziazione (1972), numbered 100/29, bearing a personal inscription to Sergio Scaglietti on the reverse: "A Sergio Scaglietti con molta cordialità e amicizia" dated Ascona, 1976. The lot also includes a copy of the exhibition catalogue Luigi Pericle, together with accompanying exhibition material and a copy of a handwritten note from Pericle addressed to Sergio Scaglietti expressing his appreciation for their friendship. Pericle maintained a close friendship with Sergio Scaglietti during the 1970s. The relationship extended beyond a shared appreciation of art: Scaglietti famously restored Pericle's Ferrari 0230 MM, one of the earliest and most historically important Ferrari competition chassis. The present group provides a tangible record of that friendship between one of Ferrari's greatest coachbuilders and one of Italy's most distinctive post-war artists. Print is glazed and framed.
