A pair of original Carrozzeria Scaglietti credit notes issued to SEFAC Ferrari, Modena, documenting adjustments made to invoices raised between Ferrari's factory and its principal coachbuilder during 1960. The first, dated 14 September 1960 (Credit Note No. 1), records the return of a seat supplied for Ferrari chassis 2149 GT, which was found not to conform to the original order. Referencing invoice no. 188 of 13 September 1960, the document credits 25,000 lire. The second, dated 29 November 1960 (Credit Note No. 2), records a correction for a calculation error on invoice no. 239 dated 22 November 1960, issuing a credit of 2,200 lire, together with 73 lire for I.G.E. tax, for a total adjustment of 2,273 lire.
Although administrative in nature, these surviving credit notes provide a rare glimpse into the routine commercial relationship between SEFAC Ferrari and Carrozzeria Scaglietti, illustrating the day-to-day financial and production adjustments that underpinned the manufacture and supply of Ferrari automobiles during the marque's formative years.
Original carbon copy, hole-punched.
