A copy of Le Briglie del Successo (The Reins of Success), one of Enzo Ferrari's most important autobiographical works, presented by Ferrari to Sergio Scaglietti. The book bears Enzo Ferrari's signature, dated 1970, in his distinctive purple ink, with the dedication 'a Sergio'. Signed presentation copies of Ferrari's books were reserved for a relatively small circle of close friends, trusted colleagues and long-standing collaborators, with personally dedicated copies seldom seen.
Among the closest of those collaborators was Sergio Scaglietti, whose coachbuilding company produced the aluminium bodies of many of Ferrari's most iconic competition and road cars throughout the 1950s and 1960s, including the 250 Testa Rossa, 250 GT SWB, 250 GTO and 250 LM. Their professional relationship evolved into a lifelong friendship built upon mutual trust and admiration, culminating in Ferrari's acquisition of Carrozzeria Scaglietti while preserving the company's identity and Sergio's pivotal role within the marque. Retained by the Scaglietti family since it was received, this signed first-hand memento embodies one of the closest personal relationships in Ferrari history. Good condition.
