An original Carrozzeria Scaglietti invoice dated 10 September 1960, issued to Willy Mairesse at SEFAC, documenting coachwork repairs carried out to Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta (chassis 2129 GT). The invoice records repairs to the front section of the bodywork, including restoration of the damaged nose, filling, paint rectification and refinishing of impacted panels, together with numerous minor coachwork repairs. It also notes the manufacture and fitting of a new front grille panel (mascherina nuova), bringing the total cost of the work to 97,000 lire. The timing of the invoice is particularly significant.
Issued just four days before the start of the 1960 Tour de France Automobile, it documents the final preparation of 2129 GT immediately before one of the defining victories of its competition career. Driven by Willy Mairesse and Georges Berger, the Scaglietti-bodied Ferrari would go on to win the Tour de France outright, adding another chapter to Ferrari's remarkable dominance of the event.
Original carbon copy, hole-punched.
