Two original period black-and-white photographs taken at the 1950 Paris Motor Show, depicting two particularly significant early Ferraris displayed at the Salon.
The first shows Ferrari 166 Inter chassis 0063 S, clothed in distinctive cabriolet coachwork by Stabilimenti Farina. One of only three such cabriolets produced, 0063 S was exhibited at Paris in 1950 before passing to Swiss racing driver Emmanuel de Graffenried.
The second depicts Ferrari 166 MM/195 S chassis 0060 M, the celebrated Touring Berlinetta Le Mans. A significant competition Ferrari in its own right, 0060 M had contested the 1950 24 Hours of Le Mans and was subsequently displayed at the Paris Salon before being sold to Briggs Cunningham.
Both photographs bear the contemporary handwritten annotation “Paris Show 1950” to the lower margin.
An evocative pair of original images documenting two important early Ferraris on public display at one of Europe’s principal motor shows, at a formative moment in the marque’s history.
Good condition, 22x13.5 CM.
