Title: Linda Hortobagyi | Inner Journey | Original | Acrylic On Canvas | Second Composition On Reverse

Description: Linda Hortobagy - 'Inner Journey'

Inner Journey is a deeply personal abstract painting exploring emotional transformation, self-discovery and the healing power of creative expression.
Created in 2019 during a group session focused on healing through art and intention setting, the painting emerged from a moment of uncertainty in Linda's life. Rather than approaching the canvas with a predetermined vision, Linda used her brush rhythmically, almost like a drum, allowing sound, movement and emotion to guide each mark.
The resulting composition is an intricate explosion of colour, swirling forms and energetic lines. Layers of vibrant blues, reds, golds and earthy tones intertwine, capturing the transition from feeling blocked and overwhelmed to finding clarity, freedom and renewed purpose.
The artwork also holds a hidden element. On the reverse of the canvas is a Buddha-inspired drawing surrounded by colourful markings, created during the same intuitive process. This concealed composition offers a second, more private dimension to the work, reflecting the inner journey behind its creation.
Both visually expressive and emotionally significant, Inner Journey celebrates the idea that sometimes the path forward is discovered not through thought, but through movement, intuition and creativity.

Linda Horto (Linda Hortobagyi) is a London-based contemporary abstract artist whose vibrant, expressive paintings explore the relationship between colour, energy and emotional wellbeing.
Working primarily in acrylics, Linda draws inspiration from Feng Shui, meditation and ancient Eastern philosophies. Her intuitive creative process combines flowing, Tai Chi-inspired movements with layered compositions and bold colour palettes, creating works that celebrate harmony, movement and connection.
Each painting begins with a moment of meditation, allowing intention and emotion to guide the creative process. Through her distinctive approach, Linda seeks to transform colour and movement into visual experiences that inspire positivity, reflection and a sense of balance.
Her work brings together contemporary abstraction and holistic traditions, inviting viewers to connect with art on both a visual and emotional level.

Linda's artistic practice also extends to large-scale public art. She was selected to contribute to Pride in the Quarter, a public art trail featuring 17 individually designed lion sculptures displayed across central London during the summer football season. The project received coverage from BBC News, highlighting the celebration of art, culture and community in the capital.
