WWI U.S. M1916 M1911 .45 ACP Leather Military Holster - S&R J.P.C. Marked

Description

Original World War I era U.S. Model 1916 leather military holster designed for the Colt M1911 and M1911A1 .45 ACP semi-automatic pistols. The reverse is stamped "S.&R." for Shaffer & Rossum, a WWI military leather goods contractor, along with "J.P.C." U.S. Army inspector initials. Displays an aged brown leather finish with surface wear, discoloration, and oxidation to the metal hardware. Retains its military-style configuration with visible stitching and reinforced leather construction.
