Description
Original U.S. military gunner’s control handle assembly used in the Korean War-era M47 Patton medium tank. Manufactured by Minneapolis-Honeywell Regulator Co. during the early Cold War period. Features a substantial cast-metal housing, enclosed pistol-style control grip, three upper selector switches, and three red indicator lenses labeled “LEFT GUN,” “MAIN GUN,” and “RIGHT GUN.” Designed for a 24–28 VDC electrical system used to control tank armament. Original manufacturer’s identification plate marked “GUNNER’S CONTROL HANDLE,” Ordnance Part No. 8359271, Manufacturer’s No. G2067A5, Series 1, Serial No. 3769. Retains its original military-painted finish, and electrical connectors, on wooden display base. An interesting piece of Korean War/early Cold War American armored vehicle equipment. The handle rotates and turns as it should, excellent museum display piece or educational teaching instrument.
