Description
Original-style iron/steel ramrod measuring approximately 41.5” overall, of the type used with early-to-mid 19th century U.S. .69 caliber military muskets. Features a large cylindrical/trumpet-form head and threaded accessory end. Configuration is consistent with ramrods associated with the U.S. Model 1816/1840/1842 family of full-length muskets; exact model application is not positively determined. It does however appear to be in good antique condition with a nicely aged patina with widespread surface oxidation and light-to-moderate pitting. Threaded end remains present with visible threads. Appears straight with normal age and service wear. Nice hard to find accessory!
