Warner Oland (1879–1938) was a Swedish-born American actor best remembered for portraying the fictional Chinese-American detective Charlie Chan in a popular series of Hollywood mystery films during the 1930s. He also portrayed the villainous Dr. Fu Manchu in several early sound films and appeared in more than 100 motion pictures throughout his career.
