Details:
Ruth Hyde Paine, Milton Wright, and Robert Davison autographed glossy color 10 x 8-inch photograph depicting historic Dealey Plaza in Dallas, Texas, including the Texas School Book Depository building, from which Lee Harvey Oswald allegedly fired the shots that killed President John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963.
The photograph bears three original autographs from individuals directly connected to the events surrounding the assassination:
Ruth Hyde Paine - Signed in black ink along the lower left portion of the photograph. Paine was a central figure in the Oswald family's life in 1963, providing accommodations for Marina Oswald and her children at her Irving, Texas, home. She also helped Lee Harvey Oswald obtain employment at the Texas School Book Depository.
Milton Wright - Signed in black ink along the lower right portion. Wright was a Texas Department of Public Safety trooper who participated in President Kennedy's Dallas motorcade, driving a vehicle carrying Congressman Ray Roberts, Dallas Mayor Earle Cabell, and his wife, Dearie Cabell. He was also present at Parkland Memorial Hospital following the assassination.
Robert Davison - Signed in blue ink near the lower center. Davison was an eyewitness to the assassination who watched the presidential motorcade from the Triple Underpass overlooking Dealey Plaza on November 22, 1963.
An additional handwritten notation and arrow near the upper portion of the photograph identifies the window associated with Lee Harvey Oswald in the Texas School Book Depository was added by Davison.
Near fine condition with a few flight slight surface dings.
Ruth Hyde Paine (1932–) became an important witness in the investigation of President Kennedy's assassination because of her close association with Lee and Marina Oswald. Milton Wright participated in the presidential motorcade as a Texas state trooper, while Robert Davison witnessed the assassination from the Triple Underpass. Together, their autographs represent three distinct connections to the events of November 22, 1963.
