Byron R. White autographed 5.5 x 9-inch printed sheet titled "Members of the Supreme Court of the United States, October 1, 1962," featuring photographs and biographical information for all nine members of the Warren Court.
The sheet identifies Chief Justice Earl Warren and Associate Justices Hugo L. Black, William O. Douglas, Tom C. Clark, John M. Harlan II, William J. Brennan Jr., Potter Stewart, Byron R. White, and Arthur J. Goldberg. Each justice is pictured alongside a brief biography detailing their birth, appointment, and service on the Supreme Court.
White has personally autographed the sheet in blue ink near the lower left, adjacent to his printed biography and portrait. The additional signatures appearing alongside the other justices' biographies are printed facsimiles, as is the second Byron White signature at the lower right.
Dated October 1, 1962, the roster documents the composition of the Supreme Court during the presidency of John F. Kennedy, shortly after White's appointment in April 1962 and coinciding with Arthur Goldberg's appointment that October.
Measures approximately 5.5 x 9 inches. Fine condition with light age toning and minor handling wear.
