Karapinar Rug Fragment Anatolia c. 18th century, rare center medallion elements with a plethora of natural dye tones including an abundance of indigo, purple, and a pleasant yellow. In this fragment you can see how the motifs evolve from the flowery 17th-precursors and are more inventive than the more 'standard' patterns in the 19th century. Very readable and ready to be mounted on fabric. 3 ft. 9 in. x 7 ft. 7 in.
