Title: Fine Large Mother of Pearl Inlaid Centre Pedestal Table
Description: Fine Large Mother of Pearl Inlaid Centre Pedestal Table

We are pleased to offer a superb large Anglo-Indian dining table, crafted in padouk and extensively inlaid with mother of pearl in floral designs. The oval top features three circular medallions of scrolling foliage and blossoms, set within a continuous floral border. The frieze is similarly inlaid, and the table is raised on twin octagonal pedestal bases, each panelled and decorated with inlaid motifs.

This type of work was produced in Northern India, particularly in Hoshiarpur and Rajasthan, where the Mughal tradition of inlaid furniture continued into the 20th century. The craftsmanship and scale make this table ideal a real statement piece
