Superb Chinese Jin / Yuan Dynasty Purple-Splash Bowl

East Asia, China, Jin to Yuan Dynasty, ca. 12th to 13th century CE. A stunning Jun-Ware / Junyao ceramic bowl with a scalloped rim, the surfaces decorated with luscious sky blue glaze with added purple splashes to the interior and exterior, all upon a short and petite unglazed foot. Among the most impressive works of Asian pottery we have ever had the pleasure of offering! This type of glazed vessel has an extensive history of bringing in excess of $100,000 at the major auction houses. Comes in an elegant Chinese fabric covered box of golden floral and dragon motifs with a yellow satin quilted lining and a brass clasp. Size: 7.38" in diameter x 3" H (18.7 cm x 7.6 cm)
