PHILADELPHIA — Freeman’s announces the sale of Ellis and Suzanne Rubin’s far-reaching collection of ceramics. Spanning the entire history of Wedgwood production from Wedgwood & Bentley to the 21st century — and complemented by fine examples from various modern and contemporary ceramic artists — the impressive and important collection will be presented across multiple sales. The first single-owner auction of Wedgwood will be held Wednesday, February 15, and additional property will be offered as single-owner sections in departmental sales throughout Freeman’s Winter-Spring 2023 auction season. Absentee and Internet live bidding will be available through LiveAuctioneers.

ATLANTA – A Lalique Anemones Grand vase and pedestal sold for $24,200, an artist proof’s bronze sculpture on a brass base by German-Israeli artist Tolla Inbar brought $20,570, and a painting by Robert Jessup (American, b. 1952-) realized $18,150 at a sale of items from Atlanta entertainment attorney Joel A. Katz held January 12 by Ahlers & Ogletree.

NEW YORK – A remarkable World War II-era American flag quilt, a circa-1900 Crazy Sampler quilt, and an 1832 memorial sampler stitched by an eight-year-old will probably land among the top lots at Jasper52’s Americana, Folk Art, and Outsider Art auction, which will be held Thursday, February 9 at 6 pm Eastern time. The sale is curated by Clifford Wallach, an expert in tramp art, folk art and Americana. Absentee and Internet live bidding will be available through LiveAuctioneers.
