CHICAGO – On Friday, March 31, starting at 10 am Central time, Hindman will present a sale of Asian Decorative Art, featuring more than 400 lots of porcelain, jade, metalwork and stone sculpture. The timed-closing online sale highlights selections from the estate of Richard S. Ravenal of Livingston Manor, New York, as well as offerings from the eclectic collection of the late Jose M. Neistein of Sao Paulo, Brazil and Washington. D.C. In addition, the auction is part of a series of Hindman sales of Asian art that includes its Chinese & Himalayan Works of Art auction on Tuesday, March 28 and its Japanese & Korean Works of Art sale on Wednesday, March 29. DALLAS – A masterwork of Ming dynasty porcelain will serve as the centerpiece of Heritage Auctions’s Sept. 20-21 Asian Art Signature® Auction. The peony-patterned Chinese vessel is exquisitely glazed with copper, and was collected by Dr. Cornelius Osgood, the curator of Yale’s Peabody Museum, and his wife, Mrs. Soo Sui-ling Osgood.
