We're committed to ensuring a secure and trusted buying experience across our marketplaces. In the rare event an item you purchase via LiveAuctioneers has been fraudulently misrepresented, does not arrive or arrives damaged, we will help you find a solution, including receiving a refund of up to $5,000 of total hammer value.
To qualify for LiveAuctioneers Purchase Protection, members must file a claim within the following timeframes:
  • Items not as described must be reported within 5 business days of delivery.
  • Items not received must be reported within 2 business days of expected delivery date.
  • Items damaged during transit must be reported within 2 business days of delivery.

Coverage you can count on

What's Covered
Items that arrive significantly different from their listing description
Items missing a described feature (e.g., certificate of authenticity)
Items that are damaged in transit and not disclosed in advance (if shipped with LiveAuctioneers Shipping)
Items that are never delivered (if shipped with LiveAuctioneers Shipping)
Unauthorized transactions or payment issues reported within 5 days of your card being charged
Items must be purchased through LiveAuctioneers checkout to qualify
What's Not Covered
Disputes related to authenticity, provenance, or attribution
Buyer's remorse or personal dissatisfaction with the item
Minor condition discrepancies (dimensions, coloring or age-appropriate wear)
Shipping delays
Disputes that arise after the item has been materially altered or resold
Items more than $5,000 in total hammer value
Purchases made by paying the auction house directly (partially or in full)
We encourage buyers to review item descriptions, photos, and condition reports carefully and to reach out to sellers with any questions prior to bidding or purchase.
