Description
STAFFORDSHIRE AMERICAN HISTORICAL TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC PLATES, LOT OF THREE, comprising a green transfer soup plate and a blue transfer example, each featuring William Penn presenting a document to two Indigenous people, and a green transfer example depicting Penn standing with his attendant and Indigenous figures looking through a box of trade goods. Each having printed "W. PENNS TREATY. / T G" to underside. Thomas Godwin, Burslem, England. 1834-1854. 9 1/8" to 10 3/4" D.
Two undamaged; soup plate with some restoration to rim and minor short scattered scratches from use.
