After retirement he focused his efforts on revitalizing the local area and philanthropy. His entrepreneurial drive continually motivated him to privately invest in real estate ventures and many other businesses. In addition to his impressive business acumen, he was a man of artistic pursuits, collecting antiques, porcelains, oriental rugs, and artwork of many different genres.

Chinese Ming Dynasty Wanli Wucai Dragon Phoenix Motif Porcelain Lidded Box. The porcelain box is in a square with circular form corners, correspondence dome lid and there is a tongue at the outer rims for fitting the lid. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white color which contrast against wucai design color, deliciated of imperial five claws dragon careening through cumulus clouds above thrashing Li-shui waves. The glaze has smooth texture and moisturizing. Which attracting unceasingly admiration.?

The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark, enclosed with double fine blue rectangles lines. Made in The Years Wanli Reign Period of The Great Ming Dynasty.
