Circa mid 20th century with tree of life center with blue & red birds in branches and sheep and cattle below, surrounded by appliqued garlands, followed by band of colored triangles then figures including pair of rabbits feeding on carrot, owl in tree branch, red rooster & hen with pair of yellow chicks, bird on branch, two squirrels with acorns, running fox with grapes, pair of yellow cats and a red dog with basket in mouth. The corners have basket of tulips in red and green, followed by red inner border, then matching appliqued garlands with outer red border, truly a delightful quilt, all hand quilted, 81 x 81 1/2". Condition Fine except the calico print red has bleed.
