1959 Fender Stratocaster Relic, John English Masterbuilt. SERIAL NUMBER: JE013. COLOR: Sonic Blue. WEIGHT: 7lbs. 6.6 ounces (3kg/360g). Folks, this is not a Fender master design Custom Shop team built 59 Stratocaster. This is 1959 Stratocaster Relic created by the late Fender Master Builder John English. John has made guitars for musicians ranging from Eric Clapton to former President George Bush. Truly a work of art he did on this Strat. His attention to detail is mesmerizing. Very lightweight Strat at 7lbs. 6.6 ounces. Checkout the Nitrocellulose Sonic Blue body. Scratches, dings dents throughout this crazy checked body. All metal hardware to include the tremolo bridge, jack cup, tuners, neck plate, right down to the screws have been reliced, even the pickup magnets. The plastic hardware has also been nicely reliced, pickup covers, volume and tone knobs, single ply pickguard, even the switch tip. The neck is slightly reliced on the back, nicely smooth down to the wood. Smooth as buttah! Neck has a 9.5 radius, frets a little to no fretware. Beautiful rosewood fretboard with clay dots. Notice John’s personal decal on the back of the headstock, Custom Built, John English, Fender USA. Neck has handwritten on the butt 1959 Strat R and 1/06. John’s initials are stamped onto the neck plate reading JE013. This guitar has hardly been played, maybe a few hours. Present collector has been the sole owner of this guitar. Another incredible work of art made by one of Fender most famous and internationally known Master Builders, John English. Included with this guitar is a unique Black Tolex case and keys with plush green interior and embroidered “Fender Custom Shop” Logo on the inside. Also includes guitar strap, unopened case candy to include the tremolo bar, tremolo spring pack, manual, bridge cover, cable, polishing cloth, and Custom Shop sticker. This guitar has an additional special package included a portfolio folder which holds the Certificate of Authenticity dated 01/26/06 and hand signed by John English along with his Design Notes, Quote Worksheet, and detailed information about John’s history. Even better is a DVD of John showing his talents and magic while working on this project. Made in USA. The next listing is another one of Johns master pieces, mentioned for clarity.
