Santa Cruz War Napa Club, Solomon Islands. Classic curved canoe shape dance wand with fine painted designs and raised, pierced lugs for fiber decorations; expected longitudinal crack. Used during initiation rites by young men. Old Christie's lot label still affixed. Stand not included. From the collection of Joseph Salamanca. Size: 42'' x 3'' x 2.5'' (107 x 8 x 6 cm).
